Online/digital marketing—email newsletters, social media, blog, search engine optimization, website maintenance, direct mail and similar tactics. Knowledge of the software and technology for these approaches is valuable too. Ability to handle data analysis and research is important.
The marketing manager is responsible for SEO and social media database management, lead generation and nurturing through email campaigns and newsletters, qualification of potential accounts, handling “pre-sale” activities, reporting on campaigns and activities, monitoring target industries and tracking the competition. This position will be measured by the size of the database, number of followers/fan and quantity of leads generated. In this role, the marketing manager reports to the vice president of marketing.
The successful candidate will be capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines, detail-oriented and capable of making marketing recommendations.
Strong communication ability is essential. Key attributes include task management, organizational and analysis skills. Digital marketing expertise is required—emails, keyword/PPC campaigns, search engine marketing, social media and similar tactics. Knowledge of HTML a plus. Ability to handle data analysis and research is important.
Position Responsibilities and Essential Duties : (other duties may be assigned)
- Work with the vice president of marketing to create three e-newsletters per month (including messaging, copy and design)
- Maintain the database with details on contacts, campaigns, account status, opt-outs and other critical information; ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM rules
- Clean database and add new lists and contacts acquired through market research and/or voluntary signups
- Report on campaign statistics, including but not limited to open rates, bounce rates, click-throughs, conversions rates, revenue generated, etc.
- Manage and execute pre- and post-tradeshow email campaigns and other campaigns from time to time
- Manage the campaign schedule to ensure consistent communications to target accounts throughout the year
- Work with the vice president of marketing to create relevant landing pages and calls to action
- Create pre-sales materials such ase-brochures, price lists, flyers, etc.
- Execute client satisfaction surveys and report results
- Work with the vice president of marketing to create survey materials for current, past and potential accounts and conduct campaigns
- Hand off accounts to Sales or Account Services as appropriate for follow-up
- Monitor presence on social media; create profiles, tweets, posts and other content; support other authors supplying content
- Evaluate any new social media outlets and grow company presence
- Monitor website effectiveness, prepare Google Analytics reports and track keywords to support website
- Research potential target partner groups, suppliers and other accounts
- Monitor relevant industries for news and research ; track online brand mentions for Affinity Express
- Track competitors through market research and report
- Request from the appropriate internal personnel guidance, information and support to complete job responsibilities
Education: MBA, Marketing
Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience
Other Skills and Requirements :
- Excellent command of English—written and spoken
- Good documentation skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, email service providers, blogging services, website platforms and social media sites; knowledge of contact management systems a plus; knowledge of HTML a plus
- Ability to function as part of a virtual team
- Motivated and disciplined; desire to broaden marketing knowledge
- Willingness to overlap with U.S. daytime work schedule
- History in client/customer interaction
- Able to handle calls with customer/onshore teams
